Brunei XRAY driver Ahmad Zamhari made an impressive debut at the first race using an XRAY NT1 in the 1/10 GP class. The race was an open-class championship race amongst top drivers in Brunei on May 25, 2007. The weather was good for the race and the track was in excellent condition.
The race had 34 competitors, and qualifying consisted of 5 rounds of Heats before the Finals (A-Main, B-Main and C-Main). During the 5 rounds of Heats, XRAY drivers Ahmad Zamhari, Jason Lim and Chris Lim were lined up in the Top Ten Final A position.
In the 50-minute A-Main final, Ahmad Zamhari took the lead from 3rd position from the first corner and thatâ™s all she wrote! He was untouchable right to the end of the final minute, claiming the championship. Jason Lim took 4th position after recovering from a mistake and costly accident. Chris Lim was totally unlucky from the beginning, having his car hit by another car, resulting in a DNF.
After this race the XRAY NT1 proved to be very strong in terms of performance and durability.
